For creators
SetList turns a workout video into a session someone can actually follow: the exercises, the sets and reps, a timer, and the creator it came from on every movement. If one of your videos has been imported, this page explains exactly what that means, what SetList will not do, and how to have your videos excluded.
It is written to be read by someone who did not ask for any of this. There is no pitch on it.
Four commitments
Your name travels with the work
Every exercise carries the handle of the creator it came from, written onto the exercise at the moment of import. This is not a display preference or a setting someone can switch off. There is no control anywhere in SetList that can change it or remove it, so a user editing the workout cannot strip your name from your own work.
Your words are yours, or there are none
Where you gave a coaching cue, it stays in your own words, trimmed to a single sentence when it runs long, never rewritten into ours. Where you did not, the cue is simply absent. SetList never invents coaching in your voice and never swaps in generic form advice you did not give.
The same rule governs the workout itself: SetList refuses to invent one. If a post does not actually contain a named movement and a dose, it declines to produce a workout rather than guessing at what you might have meant. That refusal is deliberate, because a fabricated set and rep count in a fitness app is something a stranger performs with weight in their hands.
SetList has no audience to publish you to
There are no public pages. A workout lives inside the account of the person who saved it, and it is not visible to other users, not listed anywhere, and not browsable. Nobody discovers you through SetList, because there is nothing to discover through.
A user can share a workout as an image. That image carries your handle, because attribution should survive being shared. It does not carry your photograph. That was a deliberate change: your face appearing on something a stranger sends to other people is an endorsement you never gave.
One email removes you, with no conditions
Email support@usesetlist.com with the word remove and your handle. Your videos will be blocked from being imported and existing attribution to you will be stripped.
There is nothing attached to this. No conditions, no reply asking you to reconsider, no follow-up, and no requirement that you ever speak to us. It applies whether or not you have had any other contact with SetList.
What SetList actually stores
Being straight about this matters more than sounding reassuring, so:
- Your video stays where you put it. SetList does not republish it, does not put it on a public page, and does not place advertising against it.
- For some platforms, a private copy is kept. Instagram and TikTok imports work by fetching the video in order to analyse it, so for those SetList stores a private copy, along with the thumbnail and your public profile photo. It is private storage tied to that one user's account, not a library and not public. It exists because those platforms' own links expire within days, which would otherwise break the saved workout for the person who saved it.
- For YouTube, there is no copy. The video plays from YouTube. SetList links back to it, jumping to the movement when it can find the moment in your chapters or transcript, and opening from the start of your video when it cannot.
- Uploaded files. A user can upload a video from their own device. Those carry no platform information, so they carry no link back. The user supplies the creator name by hand, or it stays blank.

What this page does not claim
SetList will not tell you it can grow your audience, raise your rates, or send you traffic. It has no public pages and a small number of users, so any such claim would be a guess dressed as a promise.
What it can say is narrow and true: where your work is used, your name is attached to it, your words are not altered, and you can have it removed by sending one email.
